The root cause of a Learning Disability is still unknown. There are a few hypotheses as to the cause of learning disabilities; nevertheless, it is common for a person to have a learning disability. It is estimated that around 15% of all Americans have some sort of learning disability. However, rarely is the severity of the learning disability debilitating to the person. Through proper training and acknowledgement of the learning disabilities one can still live a full and fruitful life.
Many people today struggle through life with learning disabilities that have not been diagnosed, leaving them to struggle through it without knowing it is in fact harder for them to learn than others. Often times a person compares a learning disability to some sort of shame. However, it is a shame not to seek the proper help to train yourself to live with learning disabilities. Learning disabilities are just another challenge in life, and once you have conquered it you will open up to a life that you have not yet envisioned.
